August 2008
Join us as we celebrate the versatility of the German Shepherd Dog in 2008!
This month we're chock full!
We begin with breeder Ann Schultz of Michigan, and breeder/handler Christi Halliday of Pennsylvania. Although they are miles apart - both in geography and their background in the breed - each has the same message for fellow fanciers.

A new, and hopefully, semi-regular feature is introduced (Love That!).

The "Golden Oldies" page kicks-off with some great dogs you're sure to recall.

We've got a quick survey aimed at how the price of gas is affecting shows (check back for results next month).

A New Jersey breeder brings us the second installment of Lloyd Brackett's 10 breeding principles (It's is really quite good).

A new 'International Working German Shepherd Dog Club'  is proposed by folks overseas.  And . . . we pay tribute to a couple of very special women in Canada (editorial).

MILITARY DOGS SUFFER IN IRAQ

Support Our Canine Troops

Imagine standing barefoot on pavement above 100 degrees, your nose clogged and eyes stinging from wind-whipped sand.

Our troops are provided with proper equipment, not so for the dogs - who are our first line of defense in many situations. They need help. Cooling vests, footpads, goggles. Make a donation to help the dogs!
