Writers' Guidelines
Articles typically run 1200 to 2000 words. We feature pieces on legislative issues, breed rescue, breeder/handler profiles, as well as compelling personal stories about our wonderful Shepherds.

Short articles (100 to 600 words) and photos that tell a story important to you and the breed are always welcome.

Queries or manuscripts may be sent via e-mail. For regular queries, enclose a S.A.S.E. and allow at least a month to respond. We work one month in advance, so it is best to submit seasonal stories at least four months ahead, unless you already have suitable photography.
 

We are looking for writers with knowledge and interest in the German Shepherd Dog.

Specifically, we are interested in articles on the following:

 - Canine legislation

 - Features on crafters in the breed (wood-working, leather goods, etc.)
