The GSDCA Thirteen Club was formed in 1993. It's purpose is to
collect health and pedigree data from owners of dogs who live to be
12 years of age or older. The Club recognizes longevity in an
individual dog with a certificate program. The sires and dams of
those dogs collectively form a database that might some day help us
understand more about the genetics of longevity and health in the
German Shepherd Dog. We urge you to participate.

13 Club members - Jan. 1 through Sept 30, 2008
A partial listing of other years of the 13 Club is

Any German Shepherd Dog
who is 12 years of age or
older is eligible for membership. Qualifying dogs must be nominated
by their owners, who need NOT be a member of the GSDCA. A
certificate of recognition will be sent to participants. Materials
and information submitted to the 13 Club become the property of the
GSDCA.
The 13 Club needs your help! If your dog is a member of the 13 Club, be sure to notify
Carolyn Putnam of the dog's date of death. Many animals now in the
database are listed as being more than 20 years old. Help the Club
keep accurate records:
If you know, or suspect, that the death of one your 13 Club dogs was
not reported, PLEASE
contact
Carolyn with the full name of the dog, and the approximate date
of death. If possible, the code number assigned to the dog will help
in finding the entry in the database.
